Val Gardena is a top tourist destination known for the world famous ski carousel Sellaronda in the ski area Dolomiti Superski, but also for its
numerous attractions, the painting, the wood carving and the handicraft products. The ruin of castle Wolkenstein, built in the 13th century is witness of bygone times. The chapels on the peaks of the Dolomites and the picturesque churches of Val Gardena are a synonym for tranquility and they are also known as a place of meditation. We recommend you to visit the Museum Gherdëina in Ortisei in order to find out more about the history, the language and the culture of this Ladin valley.
